We are seeking a highly skilled Composite Loft Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced aerospace components. This position involves working with state-of-the-art composite materials, leading engineering design efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize composite structures for aerospace applications.
Develop, maintain, and refine composite structures using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (NX CAD experience preferred).
Design and engineer composite lofts for aircraft and tooling applications, ensuring precision and manufacturability.
Translate NX models into detailed composite drawings, defining ply start and end locations.
Collaborate with engineering teams across various locations to optimize designs and ensure best practices.
Manage supplier interactions, from development through testing and production, to ensure optimal design outcomes.
Investigate emerging technologies to enhance future aerospace product designs.
Work under minimal supervision to drive project success.
Travel up to 10% domestically and/or internationally as required by business needs.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, or Computer Science.
Level 4: Minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience (7+ years with a Master's, 4+ years with a PhD).
Level 5: Minimum of 14+ years of relevant experience (12+ years with a Master's, 9+ years with a PhD).
Strong proficiency in NX CAD software.
Experience in designing composite structures and components.
U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract regulations.
Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Prior experience with radome or aerospace component design.
Expertise in composite material selection and application.
Knowledge of structural analysis techniques.
Competitive salary range: $113,050 - $152,950 (Level 4) | $134,300 - $181,700 (Level 5)
